Return & Refund Policy

This Return & Refund Policy governs all purchases made through Studio Black Canvas. By placing an order on our website, you acknowledge and agree to the terms stated below.

Studio Black Canvas reserves the absolute right to interpret and apply this policy at its sole discretion, subject to applicable Indian laws.

1. Strict Return Eligibility

Returns will only be considered if all of the following conditions are strictly met:

• Return request is submitted within 7 calendar days from the date of delivery.
• The product is unused, unworn, unwashed, and in original resalable condition.
• All original packaging, tags, labels, accessories, warranty cards, and invoice are intact and undamaged.
• The product shows no signs of use, alteration, washing, perfume, stains, scratches, or tampering.
• An unboxing video recorded at the time of delivery may be required for verification in certain cases.

Failure to meet any of the above conditions will result in rejection of the return.

2. Non-Returnable & Non-Refundable Items

The following items are strictly non-returnable and non-refundable unless proven defective at delivery:

• Customized or personalized products
• Made-to-order products
• Limited edition collections
• Digital products or downloadable items
• Gift cards and vouchers
• Clearance, sale, or discounted products
• Products purchased during promotional events
• Products without original packaging
• Products returned in damaged or used condition

Studio Black Canvas reserves the right to determine product condition upon inspection.

3. Mandatory Return Authorization

No product shall be accepted without prior written return authorization.

To request authorization:

• Email support@studioblackcanvas.com within 7 days of delivery.
• Provide order number, full name, registered email ID, and clear product images.
• Wait for written approval before shipping the product.

Returns sent without authorization will be refused and returned at the customer’s expense.

4. Return Shipping & Risk

• Customers are fully responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is approved due to manufacturing defect or incorrect shipment.
• Return shipments must be securely packed.
• The customer bears the risk of loss or damage during return transit.
• We are not responsible for items lost or damaged during return shipping.

Original shipping charges, COD charges, convenience fees, and payment gateway fees are non-refundable.

5. Inspection & Rejection Rights

Upon receipt, all returned items undergo strict quality inspection.

Studio Black Canvas reserves the right to:

• Reject returns that do not meet eligibility criteria.
• Deduct reasonable handling or restoration charges if minor damage is observed.
• Refuse returns suspected of misuse, fraud, or policy abuse.

If rejected, the product will be shipped back to the customer at their cost.

Inspection may take 5 to 7 business days.

6. Refund Processing

If approved:

• Refunds will be processed only to the original payment method.
• Processing time: 7 to 10 business days (subject to bank timelines).
• Payment gateway fees and transaction charges may be deducted where applicable.
• COD refunds may be processed via bank transfer upon submission of account details.

We are not liable for delays caused by banks, RBI regulations, or payment processors.

7. Exchanges

Exchanges are offered strictly subject to:

• Stock availability.
• Approval after inspection.
• Payment of price difference if applicable.
• Additional shipping charges.

We do not guarantee exchange availability.

8. Damaged / Incorrect Product Claims

For damaged, defective, or incorrect products:

• Complaint must be raised within 48 hours of delivery.
• Clear images and, where requested, an unboxing video must be submitted.
• Claims made after 48 hours may not be entertained.

After verification, we may offer:

• Replacement
• Refund
• Store credit

Decision will be final and binding.

9. Order Cancellation

• Orders can be canceled only before dispatch.
• Once shipped, cancellation is not permitted.
• Customized or made-to-order products cannot be canceled once production begins.

Approved cancellations will be refunded within 7 business days.

10. Abuse of Policy

Studio Black Canvas reserves the right to:

• Refuse service to customers exhibiting excessive returns.
• Reject fraudulent or suspicious claims.
• Block accounts involved in policy misuse.

11. Limitation of Liability

Studio Black Canvas shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
• Delays caused by logistics partners.
• Loss arising from incorrect address provided by the customer.

Our total liability shall not exceed the purchase value of the product.
